For years, our creative community has brought National Sauna Week to life through our annual poster contest. Now, we’re turning up the volume. For 2027, we are proud to launch our very first National Sauna Week Song Contest.
We are inviting songwriters, musicians, and creators to submit an original sauna-inspired song with the chance to have it featured as part of National Sauna Week 2027.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a song that captures the spirit of sauna—whether joyful, soulful, funny, heartfelt, modern, traditional, or unexpected. The song should feel authentic, memorable, and connect with a broad audience.
Prize & Support
Selected entries may receive support in one of the following ways:
- Up to $1000 recording support for an original song selected for professional recording or re-recording
- Marketing, promotion, and branding support from our Communications team
- Flexible arrangements may be considered depending on the project and production needs
We understand every artist and song is different, and we are open to discussing the best path forward for the winning selection.
Submission Deadline
Oct 1 2026
Song must be recorded by January 1, 2027.
How to Submit
This contest is open to performing artists — the song must be original, and we need to see and hear you sing it. Collaborations are welcome, but a video performance must be included in your submission.
Please send:
- A video of you (or your collaborator) performing the song — phone recording is absolutely fine, we just need to see it performed live
- An audio demo or recording (phone quality or better)
- Written lyrics
- Artist name and contact information
- A short note about your song and inspiration (optional but encouraged)
Song Requirements
- Must be an original work or submitted with full rights/permission from the creator
- Must include the word “sauna” at least once in the lyrics
- No explicit language or hateful/discriminatory content
- Must be suitable for a public, all-ages audience
Important Notes
- The organization reserves the right to provide creative feedback, request reasonable edits, or collaborate on production adjustments to ensure the final song is strong and suitable for campaign use
- Submission does not guarantee selection
- By submitting, artists confirm they own the rights to the work and can grant permission for promotional use if selected
- Multiple genres and styles are welcome
- AI-generated music is not allowed!
