A part of the Astoria Scandinavian Midsummer Festival, a service with readings and hymns in Finnish, Danish, Norwegian and Swedish as well as English. Scandinavian delicacies will be offered in take-away packages after the service. All are welcome to join the worship honoring the rich Scandinavian cultures of the region!

FFN Lecturer of the Year team, Soile Anderson and Eleanor Ostman, will co-present aspects of Finnish foodways. Authors of the book Celebrations to Remember: Exceptional Party Décor and Fabulous Food, they will also demonstrate how to prepare two Finnish foods: piirakka and salmon chowder, with samples for attendees.
