Viking Days is Seattle's free outdoor family-friendly festival featuring delicious Swedish pancakes, traditional entertainment, a Viking encampment, kids’ activities, beer garden and for the first time, a joint event with SeafoodFest.
Runners are encouraged to don their Norse seafaring attire for the Run Like a Viking 5K at the new Nordic Museum in Seattle. Gun time for the race is 9am and runners will be chip-timed. Four-legged friends welcome! Registration costs $35 per runner. Race Day registration is available for $40.
The Finnish Heritage Society-Sovittaja Summer Dinner Dance Series continues with music by Dan Mackowiak. Come for both or just the dancing, which begins at 7:30 p.m. See website to make reservations for the meatball dinner.
