The annual Heikinpäivä celebration’s themes are taken from Finnish folk saying associated with the name day for Heikki (Henrik’s day — 19 January).
Events span January 10 through February 1 in Hancock and surrounding area.
TODAY: 2 p.m. & 6 p.m. — Leipäjuusto (squeaky cheese) making workshop with Joanna Chopp; $15 per person.
