Tytti Scarsella
Tytti Scarsella is a Lead Accountant and Partner at Ledgers Inc., a woman‑owned outsourced accounting and fractional CFO firm in the Chicago area. Part of the Ravix/Kingswood family of companies, Ledgers Inc. has partnered with more than 200 small businesses and non‑profits since 2011. Tytti leads a team of nearly 20 accounting professionals and is responsible for new business development and client onboarding, liaising with the parent company, capacity planning and client assignments, and AI implementation in financial planning and analysis. Her work spans the full financial lifecycle—from transaction management and month‑end close to financial review, budgeting, cash‑flow management, and capacity analysis—and she serves as an outsourced CFO for a number of clients. A significant portion of Ledgers’ clients are local non‑profit organizations in education, the arts, music, and animal welfare, giving Tytti deep familiarity with the financial needs and governance structures of mission‑driven organizations.
Born in Kokkola and raised in Rovaniemi, Tytti earned a master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration (now Aalto University), where she also served on the Student Union Board as Officer for International Affairs. After graduating, she lived in London, New York, and West Palm Beach before settling in Chicago, where she has built both her career and her family.
Tytti has a longstanding commitment to non‑profit service. She has served as Treasurer of the Junior League of the Palm Beaches and the Junior League of Evanston, as well as Treasurer for her children’s school PTOs. She brings to the Foundation’s board not only substantial financial expertise, but also direct, hands‑on experience supporting non‑profit finance committees and governance.
Her ties to the Finnish‑American community have deepened over the years, from involvement in Finnish clubs in Florida and the Chicago suburbs to active participation in the Finnish American Society of the Midwest (FASM). Keeping the Finnish language and traditions alive within her family is a priority she takes to heart. Her daughter, Tia, recently earned a master’s degree in Quantitative Finance from the University of Michigan, and her son, Alex, is completing his junior year there as well. Tytti is— as her husband likes to point out—remarkably outgoing for a Finn.
