Hosting the Lecturer of the Year

BOOK LOY

EERO KILPI

Contact the FFN office to determine availability for Eero’s appearance; click here or email office@finlandiafoundation.org:

The flyer (below) is available to include in your e-communications promoting Eero’s appearance, and as a PDF to print as a handout in advance or on the day of her program.

In 2006 Finlandia Foundation National launched the Lecturer of the Year (LOY) program to share interesting topics by experts in their fields related to the history and culture of Finland and Finnish America.

FFN chapters are invited to host the LOY for the enrichment and enjoyment of their members and guests.

HOSTING THE LOY

The hosting organization is responsible for the LOY honorarium of $550, paid directly to Eero Kilpi.

The LOY’s travel expenses to events organized by/for FFN chapters within the United States are covered by the FFN travel grant. The host chapter is responsible for handling and paying for local transportation and accommodation arrangements for the LOY.

The chapter will work with the LOY to provide audio/visual or other support as required for the presentation.

ARRANGEMENTS

As appearance arrangements are made between the event organizers and the LOY, the LOY program coordinator needs to be informed of the schedule. In case of problems or conflicts, the program coordinator may be called upon for advice.

Direct all scheduling information and questions to LOY Coordinator Jessica Ann: office@finlandiafoundation.org

NOTE: Chapters may charge an admission fee to help cover the cost of the LOY appearance and/or workshop.

ADVERTISING & PUBLICITY

FFN may provide photos, a press release and a flyer/mini poster (8.5″ x 11″) to promote your event. Host chapters may also print their own quantities of the flyer.

Hosting chapters will make every effort to attract audiences to the performance, within and also beyond the Finnish-American community.
