Kalevala

Join in reading Kalevala in any of the languages you know! We have over 40 Kalevala translations, including Estonian, French, Swahili, Urdu, Turkish, English.. and many more ! Finnish snacks, salmon ruis-bread, coffee, cakes, cookies and wine will be served. With music performances by Eeppi Ursin and Kalevala Musical.

The 44th annual Kalevala Day will be a tribute to the Finnish sauna and sauna culture, and include a sauna built between 1914 and 1918.  There will be sauna stories and songs, a presentation about Finnish sauna culture, dancing and music by the Finnish Choral Society, Evergreen Kantele group and solo by Maria Mannisto.
