The Sámi are the indigenous people inhabiting northern Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Russia. Sámi National Day is February 6, which commemorates the first Sámi congress in 1917.
Celebration of the 30th Sámi National Day includes Sámi stories, button-making, browsing the library's Sámi Collection, conversation, and exploring items from the Sámi Cultural Center.
