MN: Sauna Time

A local sauna/sauna event company will host sessions at The Yard. This is an opportunity to introduce people to a sauna service that is readily available in our community. A cooperative effort by Finlandia Foundation Twin Cities and Finnish American Cultural Activities.

WA: Sauna with Us

Finlandia Foundation Suomi Chapter Bellingham, Washington

The Suomi chapter will host a mobile sauna for the day. Also creating a "sauna map" of the area. Check for sauna booking times.

Virtual: Perfect Sweat

Tune in for an exclusive, limited time screening of the Finland episode of Perfect Sweat by Mikkel Aaland. In the 34-minute video, Mikkel visits a variety of Finnish saunas with local host Samuel Aarnio. The documentary series is inspired by Mikkel’s 1978 book Sweat. The link to the video will be available on the 24th; check back then!

MA: Sauna Celebration

The Finnish Center at Saima Park Fitchburg, MA, United States

“Sauna: History and Construction” presented by Mike Potsaid and Erwin Kann. Breakfast from 8–10 am of pannukakku, the traditional Finnish oven pancake, and pulla. Vendors and baked goods sale. Sauna Museum open from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.; X-C skiing, snowshoeing or hiking from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Enjoy several locally crafted saunas on display on the Quincy Green in Downtown Hancock. The saunas are supplied by local sauna manufacturers and high school shop classes. Builders will be on hand to answer any questions and to facilitate viewing the saunas on the Quincy Green.
