National Sauna Week festivities include: Finnish Pannukakku Breakfast (8-10 a.m.), Wife Carrying Contest (10:30 a.m.); visit the former sauna, now preserved as a museum (11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.); X-C ski, snowshoe or hike the beautiful, groomed trails (limited equipment available to borrow); Finnish coffee bread and hot drinks available (10 a.m.-3 p.m.).
Enjoy a traditional, wood fired sauna during this week-long recognition of the Finnish bathing method. The sauna has a private dressing room, hot room large enough for three, buckets of water for rinsing and an outdoor shower (with a privacy screen).
