NY: Jane’s Walk in Finntown

Robert Saasto will guide a free, 90-minute walking tour of the Sunset Park area of Brooklyn, which was once the home of the largest population of Finns in New York City. The Finns built the first non-profit co-operative apartment buildings in the nation, many of which are still standing today. Robert has been instrumental in researching and getting recognition for these structures.
The walk is organized by the Consulate General of Finland in New York as part of Jane’s Walk NYC 2024.
