Nordic Women in Film: TOVE
February 2, 2021 - February 3, 2021
Five Nordic films and five events with filmmakers.
The first week is hosted by the Embassy of Finland. We are screening Finland’s Oscar contender TOVE (free of charge). The film will be available for 24 hours between February 2, 8 pm (EST) and February 3, 8 pm (EST). The film is available for the US audience.
The film is accompanied by a special event on February 3, at 3-4.30 pm (EST). The special event includes a Q&A with the filmmakers of TOVE and a panel discussion on “Boundless Art, Boundless Success” with Nordic and US filmmakers. Panelists also discuss, inspired by “Tove”, what it means to live and create freely. Speakers include director Zaida Bergroth, actress Alma Pöysti, producer Andrea Reuter and screenwriter Eeva Putro.
