MN: Runebergskören Concert

The Runebergskören BSB Finnish Male Choir is a Swedish speaking male choir from Porvoo, Finland. The group, which was formed in 1923, is conducted by Teppo Salakka.
The program includes both secular and sacred Finnish-Swedish, Finnish and Nordic choir music. In addition to the music of Jean Sibelius, the choir performs compositions of Selim Palmgren, Leevi Madetoja, Toivo Kuula and Nils-Eric Fougstedt.
They are on a seven-city American Tour, from September 27-October 6, in celebration of the centennial of Finnish Independence.
