MI: Juhannus Festival

June 24, 2017

Join the three-day, four-location celebration of Midsummer in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

The festivities begin at Hanka Homestead on Friday, and move to the Finnish American Heritage Center in Hancock on Saturday, where there will be a tori/marketplace, music and folk dances.

The Saturday afternoon activities move to Agate Beach and Toivola for the town’s 125th anniversary. There will be music, an original play performed, and kokko (bonfire) on the Lake Superior shore.

On Sunday Bruce Crossing hosts a full day of fun, with music, another original play, tori and more fun built around the historic Settler’s Co-Op.

Sisu the Traveling Sauna will be on the Juhannus trail, too.
