Finnish Log Sauna Construction

Master builders Timo Alakesti (pictured at left) and Marko Kemppainen will work in tandem with Calumet industrial arts teachers Robert Bohlsen and Corey Soumis, teaching how to build a dovetailed-corner log sauna using hand-hewn logs.

For $500 per person, participants will have hands-on instruction for five hours per day (8 to 11 a.m., and 12 to 2 p.m.) for a total of 15 days at the Calumet Schools woodshop facility.
