The Finlandia Foundation Esa-Pekka Salonen Music Scholarship Fund was established to support emerging musicians and artists who demonstrate creativity, innovation, and a commitment to cultural exchange.
Inspired by the career and values of Maestro Esa-Pekka Salonen, the fund reflects a belief that music has the power to connect cultures, inspire new ideas, and move society forward. It builds on Finlandia Foundation National’s long-standing tradition of investing in students in the arts, humanities, and sciences.
Through this scholarship, Finlandia Foundation continues its mission of strengthening ties between Finland and the United States while supporting the next generation of musical leaders.

Music is in our DNA. From Sibelius to Salonen, we have always believed that art has the power to bridge, unite and move humanity forward.
