In early 2023, Finlandia Foundation National set a goal to raise $3 million by the end of the year to continue its work in preserving operations of the Finnish American Heritage Center in Hancock, Michigan, and safeguarding the story of Finnish America for future generations.
FFN has rescued the archives, artifacts and programs of the Heritage Center, and we are excited to annouce that we have just finalized the purchase of the FAHC building and adjacent North Wind Books store.
We thank all who helped in this campaign. We are grateful for contributions that came in amounts from $5 to thousands of dollars, and are still tabulating the gifts.
