DESCRIPTION:The Bloomington Symphony Orchestra and Suomi Finland 100 Chorus will perform a concert of Finnish music at the Gordon S. Ives Auditorium in the Masonic Heritage Center in Bloomington. The Suomi Finland 100 Chorus\, under the direction of Eeva Savolainen\, is made up of 65 musicians\, including singers from the Bloomington Chorale\, and Angelica Encore Chorus\, in addition to local Finns who have been singing together for years. \nThe symphonic and choral compositions of Sibelius and Rautavaara will grace this performance\, depicting the journey of Finland from its birth to the highly-developed modern country it is today.
