The theme of the evening\, Changing the Game\,  asks: “How can we manage and harness the political and economic changes in the world today?” The speakers will  address the question from different angles and engage the audience. \nThe Finland 100 celebration event is in honor of Former Finnish President and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Martti Ahtisaari\, who is one of world’s most successful peace mediators. It is co-hosted by American Friends of Crisis Management Initiative (CMI)\,  Finlandia Foundation National and Finland’s American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham). \nTickets are $150 per person\, and invitations will be mailed in September to those who register before the end of August. DESCRIPTION:The Bloomington Symphony Orchestra and Suomi Finland 100 Chorus will perform a concert of Finnish music at the Gordon S. Ives Auditorium in the Masonic Heritage Center in Bloomington. The Suomi Finland 100 Chorus\, under the direction of Eeva Savolainen\, is made up of 65 musicians\, including singers from the Bloomington Chorale\, and Angelica Encore Chorus\, in addition to local Finns who have been singing together for years. \nThe symphonic and choral compositions of Sibelius and Rautavaara will grace this performance\, depicting the journey of Finland from its birth to the highly-developed modern country it is today.
