This year, with help from dedicated volunteers, Nordic Northwest is presenting the first panels of our new annual Holiday Exhibit. The panels will represent winter holidays traditions from each of the five Nordic countries: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. Begins early December; check website for dates.

The public is invited to an authorized showing of the legendary "The Unknown Soldier" movie, on Finland's Independence Day. The movie will be shown in Finnish with English subtitles with a running time of three (3) hours. The event is free - donations will be accepted. Refreshments will be served.

GA: Finnish Independence Day

InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta Atlanta, Georgia

The 102nd Finnish Independence Day celebration is organized by the Finnish-American Chamber of Commerce and hosted by the Honorary Consul of Finland John Saunders. Music by concert pianist Kati Eriikka Arikoski-Johnson, dinner, full bar and dance hits taking us late into the night headlined by Finnish entertainer Simodeus.
