is the most important private source of support for Finnish culture in the United States.

About Us

The Finlandia Foundation® is the most important private source of support for Finnish culture in the United States. Both the membership and the number of chapters coast to coast have been growing steadily over the years. Our members and chapters are dedicated to Finnish culture and to Finnish-American cultural exchange. The Foundation also actively supports other Finnish ethnic organizations in their efforts to preserve and promote Finnish culture.

Mission

Our mission is to sustain both Finnish-American culture in the USA and the ancestral tie with Finland by raising funds for grants and scholarships, initiating innovative national programs, and networking with local chapters.

  • Support, preserve and cultivate Finnish culture in the United States
  • Support cultural programs and activities of Finnish-American societies, churches, rest homes and educational institutions
  • Fund for Finnish cultural archives, museums and historical monuments in the United States
